Head of Advanced Robotics, Comau
Giovanni Di Stefano leads the technology activities to support the expansion of the Comau portfolio in traditional and new industrial sectors alike as responsible for Advanced Robotics.
After graduating in Electronic Engineering at Rome University in 2011, preceded by an internship experience at the ENEA Agency (National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development), he attended the Master in Industrial Automation organized by Comau in collaboration with the Polytechnic University of Turin, and then an Executive MBA in ESCP in Paris.
In the early stage of his career in Industrial Automation, he combined field operations with R&D activities in the automotive industry. Then being appointed as Head of Process Technologies Department, he led an international team mainly focusing on laser systems and joining technologies.
Leading the Advanced Robotics team since 2023, he cares of developing cutting edge industrial technologies, related to Mobile Robotics for indoor and outdoor applications, Artificial Intelligence, Vision Systems for quality inspection and robot guidance, Digital Solutions for IIoT and Metalanguages for Human-to-Robot Syntax automatic translation.
In 2023 Giovanni Di Stefano was included in the “40 Under 40” list by Fortune Italia magazine, which celebrates the best Italian entrepreneurial talents under the age of 40.
