Franco Cerutti (Milano, 12/11/1960) è oggi IT Infrastructure and Security Operation Director in Global Maritime Information System in Carnival Corporation, società leader mondiale delle crociere.
La sua esperienza nasce nell’ambito del settore delle telecomunicazioni, e più precisamente in Alcatel (ora Alcatel-Lucent) dove, laureatosi in Fisica all’Università degli Studi di Milano nel 1986, lavora prima nell’ambito della produzione del Software di Centrale e poi, grazie anche ad alcune esperienze all’estero, diventa IT Service Manager e Security Officer per Alcatel Italia.
Nel gennaio 2002 entra in Costa Crociere come IT Infrastructure Vice Director partecipando insieme al CIO alla informatizzazione della società. Nell’ambito dell’espansione della società con l’acquisizione di Ibero Cruceros, Cerutti diventa nel 2008 IT Governance Compliance & Security Director, occupandosi di tutti gli aspetti di sicurezza, privacy e certificazioni che coinvolgono l’IT della Corporate e gestendo i rapporti legati a questo tema con Carnival Corporate.
Nel 2014 diventa direttore della IT Operational Security di Costa Group, che comprende le Operating Company di Costa Crociere e Aida. In questa veste, contribuisce al lancio dei principali progetti Carnival,  “Vulnerability assessment” e “Identity & Access management”.
Nel 2018 diventa IT Security & Operation Director in Carnival Maritime dove gestisce la sicurezza e l’operatività della piattaforma IT delle navi del gruppo e delle applicazioni cloud legate all’OT del Gruppo Costa.
Fa parte del Global Security Organization di Carnival.
Entra nel 2021 nel Global Maritime Information System (GMIS) di Carnival Corporation. All’attivo ha i progetti di automazione delle installazioni a bordo delle 96 navi di Carnival Corporation e la migrazione in cloud di tutta l’infrastruttura e delle applicazioni di GMIS. E’ membro attualmente del Global Cloud Governance Team di Carnival Corporation.

His experience comes as part of the telecommunications sector, and more specifically in Alcatel (now Alcatel-Lucent) where he graduated in Physics at the University of Milan in 1986, working first as part of the Central Software production and then, thanks to some experiences abroad, become IT Service Manager and Security Officer for Alcatel Italy.
In January 2002 he joined Costa Cruises as Vice Director IT Infrastructure participating along with the CIO to the computerization of society.
As part of the expansion of the company with the acquisition of Ibero Cruises, Cerutti becomes in 2008 IT Governance Compliance & Security Director, dealing with all aspects of security, privacy and certifications involving IT Corporate and managing the related reports this theme with Carnival Corporate.
In 2014 he became director of the IT Operational Security of Costa Group, which includes the Operating Company of Costa Cruises and Aida. In this capacity, he contributes to the launch of major projects Carnival, “Vulnerability Assessment” and “identity and access management.”
In 2018 he become IT Security & Operation Director in Carnival Maritime where he manages the security and the operation of the IT platform of the vessels and the cloud applications related to the OT (Operation Technology) of all Costa Group.
He is part of the Global Security Organization in Carnival.
Joins Carnival Corporation’s Global Maritime Information System (GMIS) in 2021. He has projects under his belt for the automation of installations on board Carnival Corporation’s 96 ships and the migration of all GMIS infrastructure and applications to the cloud. He is currently a member of Carnival Corporation’s Global Cloud Governance Team.
