Braga is an experimental artist, musician and pioneer of Artificial Intelligence, entrepreneur and founder of A-LIVE, the first Italian interactive music streaming platform.

Alex Braga, also, is the first artist to use a revolutionary new instrument called A-MINT.

A-MINT is the first adaptive Artificial Intelligence working in real-time for the artist to explore infinite audio/visual creativity .

An Hyperloop of creation multiplying notes, visuals, arrangements, layers, to plus infinity : this is the signature style of EVOLUTIONAL ART.

Alex Braga created A-MINT with professors Antonino Laudani and Francesco Riganti from University ROMATRE.

Alex Braga has been touring as a solo artist with A-Mint and performing all over the world, among other places as a headliner at Ars Electronica, Mutek Festival, or in duet along with “hacked” star pianists such as Niklas Paschburg, Francesco Tristano, Boosta or Danilo Rea.

The new solo performance debuted at Ars Electronica in Linz, Sept. 5th 2019, where Alex Braga received NOMINATION for category S+T+ARTS=STARTS, the special honoring of the European Commission for innovation in technology, industry and society stimulated by the arts.

His performances have been supported by Google Arts&Culture and have been world widely acclaimed from the prestigious RomaEuropa Festival to SOnar, to the Centre Pompidou, the temple of contemporary art in Paris, where he was the closing act of the exibhition Codèr Le Monde alongside great masters like Ryoji Ikeda.

Alex Braga is also the founder of EVOLUTIONAL FESTIVAL, the first italian audiovisual festival on Artificial Intelligence.

The Artificial Intelligence A-MINT is also the first to enter Classical conservatories: Alex Braga is the first teacher of such instrument with his masterclass in Santa Cecilia, one of the oldest musical institutions in the world.

Alex Braga has also written and produced the original soundtrack for the movie FLESH OUT, by director Michela Occhipinti, that premiered at 69° BERLINALE in winter 2019. The movie is world wide distributed and did the premiere in the U.S.A at Tribeca FIlm Festival.

In 2019 Braga collaborated with the talented EXTRAWEG, a visual artist from Berlin, with two performances of music, Artificial Intelligence and visuals, @ Cluster Contemporary Gallery and @MACROASILO Museum of COntemporary Art of Rome, as ending performance of a week artistic residency.

In summer 2019 MACROASILO asked Braga to write the original soundtrack for the movie VOYAGE DANS LA LUNE from George Melies: the result was a performance to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Moon Landing.

In 2017/18 Braga creates INTANGIBLE, a performance and installation on the concept of vibrations built with the use of Cimatic and water, and starts a tour of the most important cities in Italy like Rome, Milan, Tourin, Bologna.

In the same year he writes the music, text and performs with New York based artist Paco Cao @Galleria Nazionale di Arte Moderna e Contemporanea in Rome for the performance CONTROL.

In 2015 Braga also starts a new project regarding sustainability of water, promoted by EULABOR Institute with the support of the Ministry of Environment, IUCN, WCPA, National Geographic, Pelagus Sanctury and

he produces a techno track made only with sounds of mammals, using the sound archive courtesy of Tethys Research Institute.

In the same year Braga displays the interactive videoinstallation INTERFERENCE (feat. Quietensemble) at Acquario Civico di Milano: an hydrophone is placed in the fish tank and the audio and the video interacts with the human presence as a symbol of the human impact of environment.

2015 is indeed a golden year for Braga, releasing with his a.k.a. PLUGGER the RE_CYCLE#1 E.P. with dancefloor superstar Davide Squillace and his prestigious Barcelona based label ThisAndThat. The EP contains the hit single Waxoline, elected by god dj John Digweed as one of the best tracks of 2015. Digweed brings Braga and PLUGGER in the BedRockRecords family, a London based label regarded as one of the most important in the electronic music world, selectiong the track for his compilation “LIVE IN SOUTH BEACH”. But, most of all, PLUGGER is one of the 4 “leading lights in electronic music world” (as stated by the site roguhtrade.com) to be selected by superhip english indie electro rock band PUBLIC SERVICE BROADCASTING to remix their new single SPUTNIK. Braga and PLUGGER’s song is released worldwide officially inside PSB’s record bringing the artist also on TestCardRecordings.In 2013, with is pseudonim PLUGGER, is the only italian artist to be invited to peform live in the most important festival of medial art, Sonar, and he publishes a book with the Marco Museum with AddEditore. The artwork of PLUGGER is a mixture of videoinstallations, experimental music, and real collage that brings Braga to perform in very prestigious locations like Macro, the MADRE museum in Naples and the Museo Della Permanente in Milan, as well as abroad, from Beirut to Berlin, between clubs, museums and cultural centers, with the support of the Italian Insitute of Culture.

The conceptual revolution of PLUGGER strikes deeply the visonary and worldwide famous composer Ennio Morricone. Upon listening to a PLUG dedicated to his work, Morricone says “PLUGGER is the new thing that wil shake Rock”.

In 2015 Alex Braga features in his first collective exhibition in G.N.A.M., the National Modern and Contemporary Art Gallery in Rome: Corporate Art.

In 2010 he creates the first show ever with music made from the trees, along with artists Claudio Coccoluto and Diego Stocco. In 2011 his performance SoundOfBeauty, where he explores the relationship between sound and beauty, is represented in Paris and Madrid. In 2012 he starts focusing on noise pollution and concrete music and the relationship between noise and sound brings Braga to perform his SOUNDPRINT#2, an Ottetto for 4 cars-violin-viola-oboe-flute, in the city of Florence. The performance, that opened the festival Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, followed by a troupe of videocameras, spreads inside the city center with each musician inside a car, both playing music and noise, manipulated in real time by Braga on a big stage with a big screen in Piazzale Michelangelo. Year 2012 is also very important because it marks the first international collaboration with 2 superstar of contemporary art: Mike e Doug Starn. The performance BigBambùBreathe, based on the worldwide famous masterpiece BigBambù of the two Starn twins, takes place in the Macro Museum in Rome.

Braga is also know in Italy for his activities of host, writer and producer for TV and Radio.
