Ken O’Flaherty e’ Vice Ambasciatore britannico in Italia dall’agosto 2015. Diplomatico di carriera, ha una grande esperienza acquisita lavorando nei vari dipartimenti del Foreign Office e all’estero nelle ambasciate di Parigi, Tokyo e nella Rappresentanza britannica presso l’Unione europea. Ken ha lavorato su un’ampia gamma di tematiche, dalla cooperazione UE alla sicurezza e all’anti terrorismo, dall’immigrazione all’economia e dall’energia al Medio Oriente. Ken ha studiato italiano e francese presso l’Università di Cardiff ed è stato studente ERASMUS presso l’Università di Parma.

Ken O’Flaherty joined the British Embassy in Italy as Deputy Head of Mission in August 2015. A career diplomat, he brings experience from a number of Foreign Office Departments, as well as overseas postings in Paris, Tokyo and the UK Representation to the European Union. Ken has worked on a wide range of issues from EU cooperation to security, counter-terrorism and migration, economic and energy issues and the Middle East. Ken studied Italian and French at Cardiff University, and was an ERASMUS student at Parma University.
